Ausmed has received many queries from nurses relating to the forthcoming changes to the Australian regulation of nursing and the mandatory aquisition of 20 hours of Continuning Professional Development (CPDs) each year. To this end, we have sought permission from the Nurses Board of Victoria to include the following information on our website. We hope this will assist you. Ausmed offers a range of opportunities for you to accrue CPD hours.
For example

  1. Attendance at an Ausmed conference or seminar earns you approximately 5 - 5.5 RCNA CNE points each day typically
    10.5 RCNA CNE points for a two day educational program.
  2. By listening to lectures available on AusmedOnline.com Each lecture is timed and the duration documented for you to record in your CPD portfolio. The lectures are derived from the education provided at our conferences and seminars and follows the strict guidelines required by RCNA for APEC endorsement.
