Chapter 16: Living with HIV/AIDS This chapter follows a man living with HIV/AIDS. In a highly personal manner, it describes in detail all elements of dealing with the virus and delves into working and socialising with HIV/AIDS.
David Menadue David Menadue was a teacher and publications officer with the Victorian Department of Education until taking ill-health retirement in 1991. He has been very involved with volunteer work for the Victorian AIDS Council, including holding the posts of Vice-President of the Council and Convenor of People Living with HIV/AIDS Victoria for a number of years. He was instrumental in setting up the Positive Living Centre in St Kilda, a community centre for people with HIV/AIDS. He was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in 1995 for services to the HIV community.
