Superventricular Tachycardia versus Ventricular TachycardiaThis lecture provides an in-depth analysis of the 12 lead electrocardiogram. Solid understanding of the basic principles underlying the 12 lead electrocardiogram is required to fully utilise this highly informative lecture. The traces of the 12 lead electrocardiogram that occur during superventricular tachycardia and ventricular tachycardia are interpreted. Contrasts and comparisons of the electrocardiogram traces of these two cardiac arrhythmias are made. Rate, rhythm, PR waves, and QRS waves and intervals of the traces of the 12 lead electrocardiogram are analysed. The main concepts explored in this session are:
