Overview of a comprehensive 'Volunteer Orientation Program' that will effectively meet the needs of new volunteers within a health care network. This program provides an opportunity for prospective volunteers to interact and fully participate throughout their skills training. It also provides an ability to assess individual’s suitability and commitment to volunteering within the health sector. As well, it gives participants an insight into the many roles of volunteers, and an understanding of policies, procedures and duty of care within the volunteer role.
