Principles of Haemodynamic Monitoring: Noninvasive MonitorsThis session provides information on non-invasive monitoring of the heart. The principles of haemodynomic monitoring are provided and the patients requiring these procedures discussed. The anatomy and physiology of the heart and cardiac system are applied to clarify what physiological processes are being measured and observed. Information is provided on when to use non-invasive monitors (NIBIPs) in preference to invasive monitoring. Central venous pressure (CVP) waveforms are analysed and discussed. Arterial waveform analysis is provided. The main concepts explored in this session are:
