Chamber Hypertrophy & Enlargement: ECG a Diagnostic ToolThis lecture discusses the assessment of hypertrophy and cardiac enlargement using electrocardiograph (ECG) traces. The physiological changes which occur in heart enlargement are discussed and compared to the pathophysiological changes which occur in various heart disorders. The use of the 12 lead ECG as a diagnostic screening tool is discussed. The changes which occur in the ECG traces with enlargement to the left and right atrium of the heart are described. This is highly informative lecture. The main concepts explored in this session are:
