Advanced ECG Rhythm Analysis: Atrial Fibrillation & FlutterThis session provides information which assists in the analysis of electro cardio graph rhythm strips. Sinus atrial junctional dysfunctions and supra ventricular arrhythmias are discussed. The life threatening ventricular arrhythmias are analysed and the rhythm strips of these conditions interpreted. Atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter are defined and discussed. Tachycardia and bradycardia are defined and clinical descriptions of these conditions provided. Medications used in cardiac conditions and their effects on cardiac rhythm are explained. This is an interactive highly informative session. The main concepts explored in this session are:
James McVeigh is an authorised nurse practitioner in high dependency nursing. Jim is the coordinator of the Heart Failure Service at the Prince of Wales hospital, Sydney, Australia. He was a founding member of the Australian Nurse Practitioner Association. Jim is the Chair of the Cardiac Nurses Working Group within the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
