Understanding, Identifying and Treating Hypoglycaemic CrisisThis lecture discusses hypoglycaemia and diabetes mellitus. It details what a hypoglycaemic crisis is and how to identify a patient experiencing such an event. The relationship between insulin and hypoglycaemic attacks is analysed. The treatment of a person undergoing a hypoglycaemic crisis using a number of differing scenarios is included. The importance and rationale for using glucose as a treatment is described.
