Food is seen as the medicine for diabetes. Over eating, eating the wrong types of food and a reduction in the amount of exercise performed are presented as the significant factors. The importance of managing carbohydrate in the diet and exercising is emphasised. Chronic health issues including cardiac dysfunction and liver disease from diabetes are described.
