Assessing Common Minor Injuries and Traumas in ChildrenThis session provides information about the most common minor injuries and traumas seen in children who present to hospital emergency departments. It details a number of first aid measures specifically useful for children. Nursing care strategies which facilitate cooperation in traumatised children are provided. Communication skills utilised in assessing pain in a child are described. Types of fractures which occur in children are also described. This is a highly informative session.
