Chapter 8: Nutrition as a Complementary Therapy
This chapter sets the tone for complementary therapies as agents of healing and health promotion. The relationship between diet, health and disease with particular focus on aetiology of disease is described, as is the free radical relationship to a deficient diet. Suggested nutrition regimes are provided for certain groups in society- such as the elderly and pregnant women- who are prone to nutritional deficiencies.
