Sue Templeton Sue Templeton has extensive experience in the management of acute and chronic wounds. She is a clinical nurse consultant specialising in advanced wound care with the Royal District Nursing Service of South Australia, a clinical tutor with the University of Adelaide (Australia) and an active member of several professional organisations. Sue previously held the position of clinical lecturer with the University of Adelaide (Australia) and she was the clinical nurse consultant in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Royal Adelaide Hospital for several years. As well as participating in the development of wound and Doppler competencies, Sue has participated in the development of a clinical pathway for management of venous leg ulcers, developed wound‐assessment tools, and been active in policy development in wound management. She has presented at local and national forums and frequently conducts education sessions for nurses in a variety of settings. In 2002 Sue was awarded the South Australian Nursing Excellence Award in the category of Community Registered Nurse. |
